Enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year is currently open. Please see the info below on the enrollment process.

Enrollment Form

As a West Bend Public School, Pathways Charter School is open to all students provided they complete all parts of the enrollment form. There is no charge to attend Pathways other than the normal school fees.

Enrollment procedures are as follows:

1. Fill out an enrollment form found on WBSDPathways.org or pick up a copy at the Educational Service Center or Pathways Charter School and deliver in person to the contacts listed at Pathways Charter School or the Educational Service Center by April 30, 2014 at 4:00 PM.

Enrollment in Pathways is limited with priority given to returning Pathways students, siblings of Pathways students and West Bend School District residents.  For the 2014-2015 school year a total of 99 seats will be available in grades 7-10. Students currently enrolled in Pathways (including current open enrolled students) along with the siblings of current Pathways students will have first priority for a seat at Pathways during the 2014-2015 school year.

Priority enrollment applications for West Bend School District residents for the 2014-2015 school year will be accepted through April 30, 2014 at 4:00 p.m.

If more than 99 current Pathways students (including current open enrolled students), siblings of Pathways students and resident students apply by April 30, 2014 new non-resident students will not be accepted through the open enrollment process. A lottery will be conducted to select students from among the resident applicants whose applications were received for the spaces open after returning Pathways students and siblings of Pathways students are counted. All resident students who are not enrolled as a result of the lottery will be placed on a waiting list based upon the outcome of the lottery. Each school year the waiting list, if any, will expire on October 1.  A new waiting list will be established as part of the enrollment process for the following school year whenever a lottery is required.

If less than 99 returning Pathways students, siblings of Pathways students and resident students apply by April 30th, 2014, the open seats will be offered to new non-resident students who have applied by the open enrollment deadline through the Department of Public Instruction open enrollment process. If there are more new non-resident applicants then there are open seats, a lottery will be conducted on May 6, 2014 to select students from among the non-resident student applicants for the open seats.

Open seats remaining after the open enrollment deadline of April 30, 2014 and before the start of school, or seats that open after the open enrollment deadline which are not filled from a waiting list, will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

2. In order to understand the unique nature of Pathways, it is strongly recommended to attend one of the scheduled Pathways Charter School open houses/informational meetings for interested students and parents. Please check the Pathways website for important information, including dates and times for these meetings.

3. Families interested in Pathways who live outside of the West Bend Joint School District #1 will need to file the necessary paper work for Open Enrollment into the West Bend School District and select Pathways as their school of choice. Open enrollment into the West Bend School District does not guarantee enrollment at Pathways. Procedures for doing this can be found on the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Website (see link at http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/psctoc.html). Preference for admission to Pathways will be given to students currently enrolled in the West Bend School District.

The West Bend School District does not discriminate against pupils on the basis of sex, race, religion, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional, or learning disability or handicap in its education program or activities.
